I PARNASSUS OF THE MUSIC INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION 

Latin America Edition

The First Parnassus of the Music International Competition - Latin America Edition is organized by the National University of Music, the Parnassus Music Association, and the Parnassus Music Society.

The competition is open to every pianist who is resident or with nationality of any Latin American countries, between the ages of 5 and 25 years. (*)

PRIZES

Young Artists Category (16 years -25 years)


 First prize "Hans Lewitus"

- First Prize Winner Certificate of the I Parnassus of the Music International Competition - Latin America Edition, Young Artists Category.

- $ 1000 US dollars.

- A master class in virtual mode with Professor Kevin Kenner.

- Participation in the Meeting of Young Pianists 2021, organized by the UNM.

- A recital in the city of Lima.

- A recital in the city of Arequipa.

Second prize:    

- Certificate of Winner of the Second Prize of the I Parnassus of the Music International Competition - Latin America Edition, Young Artists Category.

- Participation in the Meeting of Young Pianists 2021 , organized by the UNM.     

- $300 US dollars.

- Master Class with a member of the jury.

Third prize:  

- Certificate of Winner of the Third Prize of the I Parnassus of the Music International Competition - Latin America Edition, Young Artists Category.

- Participation in the Meeting of Young Pianists 2021 , organized by the UNM. -

- $100 US dollars.

- Master Class with a member of the jury.

Children and Youth Category (5 years - 15 years old)

First prize:  

- C ertificate of Winner of the First Prize of the I Parnassus of the Music International Competition - Latin America Edition, Children and Youth Category.

- A master class in virtual modality with Dr. Michael Baron.                     

- Participation in the Meeting of Young Pianists 2021 , organized by the UNM.

- $ 300 US dollars.

- Master Class with a member of the jury.

                                         

Second prize:      

- Certificate of Winner of the First Prize of the I Parnassus of the Music International Competition - Latin America Edition, Children and Youth Category.          

- Participation in the Meeting of Young Pianists 2021 , organized by the UNM.

- $ 200 US dollars.

- Master Class with a member of the jury.

Third prize                    

- Certificate of Winner of the Third Prize of the I Parnassus of the Music International Competition - Latin America Edition, Children and Youth Category.

- Participation in the Meeting of Young Pianists 2021 , organized by the UNM.

- Master Class with a member of the jury.

SPECIAL PRIZE: FGCU Piano Scholarship

- Scholarship for undergraduate studies at the Bower School of Music & the Arts at Florida Gulf Coast University. The scholarship includes the cost of tuition, courses, accommodation, food and meals (see chapter IX)

Roger Woodward Award: 
- $ 500.00 US dollars, awarded to the best performance of a work by J. S. Bach in the Young Artists Category.

(*) About the ages of the applicants:

Competitors who turn 16 years old during November 8th, 2021 will be able to participate in the Young Artists category, they must meet all application requirements.
